JOB PURPOSE To lead and implement Trade Teams programmes through managing and coordinating Trade Team operatives ensuring efficiencies of their output whilst maintaining high standards of quality and service. Oversee all aspects of delivering trade packages in order to meet commercial and operational constraints, working with the Divisional and Construction Project Teams to ensure a positive and profitable outcome is achieved. Assist the General Manager in identifying and securing suitable packages of work to fit the skills, capability and resource availability. MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES Assist the General Manager in the creation and carrying out of the Trades Team business plan. Work with Divisional and General Managers to identify and win suitable Trades Work Packages for the Carpentry, Bricklaying and Multiskilled teams to deliver Prioritise effectively, monitor progress and make amendments when necessary Plan effective deployment of the Trade Teams ensuring the delivery of reliable, cost-effective progress on packages. Analyse and identify possible delays or risks and plan effective solutions within full-filling programs Ensure variations are tracked and reported diligently to the General Manager Work collaboratively and effectively with Construction Project Teams to ensure the Trade Teams service is supplied. Working collaboratively on people related matters with the HR team to assist the creating of the Trades Team people management plans as part of achieving the Trades Team department business plan. Follow all organisation people practices including and not exclusive too: managing probations, conducting appraisals, carrying out 1:1s, managing team and individual performance, carrying out personal development plans, assisting in the development of apprentices/trainees, keeping records when required, ensuring SOPs are adhered to.
