Outsource UK is seeking experienced transport planners who have experience working for a logistics/freight company.

Prior experience as a Transport Planner is required to apply for this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and dynamic team in the Freight sector.

Overview of the role:
* Working as a support function for the internal departments and working with the intermodal Manager to manage transport booking requirements
* Liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and shipping lines
* Quality control and ensuring the company meets transport bookings without fail
* Haulage allocation
* Completing all requirements or offering alternative options to be completed
* Supplier KPI monitoring
* Developing and maintaining relationships with all suppliers and shipping lines
Key skills and qualifications required:
1. Strong customer service skills as well as a real attention to detail
2. Possesses strong computer skills
3. Prior experience in transport planning for a logistics/freight company
4. Knowledge of hauler booking requirements
5. Strong numerical and commercial skills
6. Good telephone manner
