We are looking for enthusiastic social care workers to join a team who motivate each other to provide the best possible service supporting clients in their own homes (usually 24 hours over seven days). This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the growing Gateways Housing Support Services department based in the Forth Valley area.
Your starting rate would be a minimum of £10.90 per hour but will depend on your experience and level of qualification. Contract hours would be discussed further at the interview as these could be variable dependent on shift pattern and service user needs.
You should be flexible in your approach to work and be able to work as part of a rota across seven days including early starts, late finishes, weekends, potentially incorporating 24-hour shifts and sleepovers/waking night shifts.
Ideal candidates should be good team players, be sensitive to the needs of individuals and colleague, have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be experienced in dealing with and managing behaviour that challenges, have strong communication skills to motivate other people and have an enthusiastic empathetic personality.

Professional qualifications in Social Services and Healthcare are highly desirable; however, the right candidates will be supported to complete these throughout their career with us. It is desirable that applicants have experience working in a care and support environment, however all essential training will be given during induction.

Your responsibilities would include following individual support plans, one-to-one support and in some cases two-to-one support, medication administration, helping with day-to-day tasks (which may include personal care), promoting independent living within the local community, supporting individual outcome achievements.
We will require an update/registration of Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme to work with vulnerable adults and will need to ensure compliance with SSSC registration.
