Due to the retirement of a long serving employee, and our commitment to achieve continued growth and success, we are currently looking to recruit a permanent Engineering Production Planner. Reporting to the Production Support Manager, the successful candidate would be required to have a minimum of five years’ experience within an engineering production planning role with experience in medium to heavy Mechanical Engineering projects. The successful candidate will possess a clear understanding and experience in the following: A good understanding of technical engineering drawings. Creating ‘bills of materials’. Use of an inhouse IT system to produce control cards which enables the breakdown of a drawing into individual operations. Liaising with other departments, engineering, quality, purchasing etc, to ensure smooth production processes. Skills & attributes required for the role: Experience within fabrication and machining disciplines. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Attention to accuracy and detail. Ability to work to deadline. Well organised and methodical. Enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.
