Based at our advanced, additive manufacturing facility in Avonmouth, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and overseeing Health and Safety programs and procedures and creating a culture safety excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at an early stage and help implement and drive Health & Safety best practice across the manufacturing site. Health & Safety Program Management: Develop, implement and monitor H&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Co-ordinate and manage the implementation of emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and incident management. Risk Management and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies and safety standards. Lead incident investigations, analyse root causes and implement preventive measures. Safety Training & Awareness: Co-ordinate safety training programs and ensure all employees are adequately trained on safety protocols and actively promote awareness of safety standards, quality procedures and safe behaviours among the workforce. Prepare and present safety reports to management, highlighting trends, performance metrics and areas for improvement. Quality Management Integration: Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to integrate Health and Safety practices with the Quality Management System (QMS) and pro-actively support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and addressing safety-related quality issues. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training and compliance activities and prepare regular safety reports to management.
