Goodman Masson is supporting a leading global investment firm in its search for a Finance Business Partner to assist its European real estate investment team with financial reporting, FP&A processes, acquisitions, and business integration. The role involves acting as a key liaison with portfolio companies, delivering insightful analysis, and managing liquidity across various investments. The Finance Business Partner will oversee all aspects of business planning, reforecasting, quarterly financial results, and valuations, ensuring high standards are maintained for reporting and deliverables. The role will also involve close collaboration with finance teams at portfolio companies to ensure alignment with the investment firm's requirements. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of the firm's European real estate investments by providing strategic financial insight and support across multiple projects and business units. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a business partner to the firm's European real estate portfolio, providing insight on quarterly financial performance, forecasts, business plans, and market conditions; Contribute to the valuation processes for the portfolio, ensuring consistency with the firm's other investments and industry standards; Understand and analyse key commercial drivers for financial results through close interaction with finance teams and asset managers; Lead the annual business planning cycle, challenging assumptions and advising on necessary accounting adjustments; Manage funding requirements for portfolio companies while adhering to established protocols. Build strong relationships with portfolio finance teams to ensure alignment with internal processes and expectations. Key Competencies: Commercially oriented finance professional with strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate effectively with senior finance, legal, and tax professionals; Competent in financial reporting under IFRS and able to identify and resolve accounting issues; Experience with complex financial transactions (acquisitions, disposals, or debt financing). Background in FP&A within a matrix organisation is highly beneficial; Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines. Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills; Excellent communicator. Key Requirements: Achieved a 2.1 degree or higher in any discipline; Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience; Background in Real Assets, with hands-on exposure to financial analysis and valuations; Experience in Transaction Services (or a similar role within a professional services firm) or relevant industry experience in a comparable role; Proficiency in valuation techniques, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models, and the ability to articulate and work through complex financial models; The ideal candidate will have the ability to apply their technical skills and industry knowledge to manage financial processes and provide insightful analysis across the investment portfolio.
