Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Halifax Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.85 - £15.00 Per hour Job Duties: Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans for students Help students with learning activities and personal care as needed Monitor and track student progress and behaviour Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development Required Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths Experience working with children or individuals with SEN Understanding of SEN support strategies Education: Relevant qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs Experience: Prior experience working in a school or educational setting Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team Patience and empathy when working with students Organisational skills to assist with planning and record-keeping Preferred Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification First Aid training Working Conditions: This role involves working in a school environment, providing support to students with SEN. The working hours are full-time, and the position is temporary in nature. The role may require some physical activity and the ability to assist students with personal care needs.
