As the Outage Coordinator at Ground Control, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the successful delivery of a full programme of tree cutting power outages. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and management of the electrical provision process delivering a full programme of tree cutting power outages within Ground Control’s operational area with UK Power Networks. The candidate will work alongside and support the senior management and operations team to ensure a high level of efficiency and planning is always achieved, with a drive to ensuring efficiency and KPI targets are always met.
The successful candidate will ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety, environment, quality, operational excellence and always drive to provide the best value to Ground Control and its Clients. This role is based on up to 11kV work.
The role;
1. Efficiently plan and deliver a full programme of tree cutting power outages.
2. Oversee and manage the tree cutting power outage programme, driving best practices and operational excellence.
3. Coordinate outage teams to ensure projects are completed within the agreed timeframes, budget, and contractual commitments.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the successful planning and execution of all outages.
5. Assist in managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective delivery of electrical provisions.
6. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
7. Participate in internal and external meetings related to programming and planning.
8. Travel as necessary to support the effective delivery of outage programmes.
The person;
This is a great role for someone currently who is a natural Projects Coordinator/Scheduler or Programme Manager with a natural leadership ability and holds the ability to problem solve and drive solutions.
Whatever your background you will need;
1. Strong ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders towards a common goal.
2. Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a keen analytical mind.
3. Knowledge of overhead electrical networks.
4. Proficiency in IT and computer skills.
5. Ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
6. Full UK driving license.
In addition, any experience in the following is an advantage;
1. Familiarity with UK Power Networks' shutdown procedures, rules, and regulations.
2. Strong team leadership skills, with experience balancing delegation and control.
3. Commercial awareness and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
4. Experience managing workloads and balancing demands from multiple stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role between home based and sites throughout, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex.
