Roles and Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
* Provide one:to:one and small group support to pupils, ensuring individual learning needs are met
* Assist in classroom management, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Help prepare lesson materials and resources to enhance student engagement
* Support pupils with SEN, adapting learning activities to suit different abilities
* Foster confidence, independence, and a love for learning among students
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track and support pupil progress
* Supervise pupils during break times and assist with extracurricular activities when required
Requirements
* Experience working as a teaching assistant in a KS2 setting
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent qualification)
* Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and classroom support strategies
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and encourage their development
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and support staff
* A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning in a dynamic classroom
* Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
