We are seeking an experienced Stock Control Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with company values.
As a Stock Control and Admin Supervisor, you'll oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate records, efficient control systems, and timely stock replenishment, while also supporting administrative tasks related to stock control and warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Control and Management:
* Oversee stock levels, ensuring sufficient inventory to meet business needs.
* Monitor stock movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
* Implement and maintain efficient stock control systems and procedures.
* Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
* Identify and address any stock discrepancies or issues.
* Manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
* Coordinate with other departments (e.g., purchasing, warehouse) to ensure smooth stock flow.
Administrative Tasks:
* Maintain accurate records of stock levels and movements.
* Generate reports on stock levels, movements, and performance.
* Update and maintain SAP WMS.
* Support the team with administrative tasks as needed.
Team Leadership (Supervisor Role):
* Supervise and guide stock control and admins.
* Assign tasks and responsibilities effectively.
* Provide training and support to team members.
* Monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Conduct regular 1-2-1 with the team members.
* Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Attention to detail: Accuracy in record-keeping and data entry is essential.
* Good communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
* Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve stock control issues.
* Knowledge of stock control principles and practices: Understanding of inventory management techniques and procedures.
* Proficiency in relevant software and systems: Experience with inventory management software and databases.
* Experience in a similar role: Previous experience as a stock controller, stock administrator, or related role is preferred.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Flexibility and adaptability are important.
* Knowledge of supply chain procedures and logistics.
* Experience with inventory audits.
JOB DUTIES:
* Lead and manage warehouse stock control operations, as well as admin team.
* Supervise and develop a team, including reach truck drivers, ensuring high performance and engagement.
* Oversee inventory control, material handling, and stock take to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment.
* Monitor and evaluate material flow, addressing bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.
* Drive labour efficiency and operational productivity through effective planning and resource allocation.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices.
* Foster staff development through regular one-to-one meetings, coaching, and training initiatives.
* Support HR procedures, including participation in disciplinary hearings and ensuring adherence to company policies.
* Analyse data to support decision-making and improve warehouse performance.

* Experience in warehousing, operations, or manufacturing.
* Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse environment.
* Experience in working with inventory management systems and operational reporting tools.
* Ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders.
