An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Medical inpatient team at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent. If you are motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic WE NEED YOU!
The successful candidate will work as part of a highly experienced, friendly team of a Band 7 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, Band 6 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and also rotational band 5s, Band 4s and support workers. A good range of Band 5 rotations is essential. The post holder will be expected to provide regular post graduate training within their clinical specialty and work alongside Band 7s to complete some departmental managerial duties.
We can also offer development roles for the successful candidate who may require additional support.

Main duties of the job
Band 6 Physiotherapists work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services. Band 6 therapists are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services provided across the health economy by:
* To manage daily a clinical specialist caseload within each of these rotations and be responsible for the assessment, formulation and treatments and to give highly specialised therapy advice to members of the MDT.
* To deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team.
* To be actively involved with training within the Department.
Each clinical area has friendly supportive teams where regular meetings, CPD and supervision is available.

Experience
* 18 months post graduate experience in relevant clinical area.
* Proven record of providing high quality intervention for high risk patients.
* Clinical Audit.
Skills and abilities
* Highly developed clinical skills in relevant area.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Up to date therapeutic moving & handling skills.
* Basic IT knowledge.
* Effective and strong team player.
Knowledge
* Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS and Primary Care including Clinical Governance, NICE and CQC.
* Knowledge of up to date clinical / evidenced based practice.
Qualifications
* BSc Physiotherapy.
* HCPC registration.
* Member of CSP.

* Ability to prioritise care delivery in a professional manner, taking into account Trust policies and procedures.
* Ability to organise own work.
