About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Multi-Store Manager to oversee our Camden store and supervise operations at our Hamleys concessions in Regent Street and Westfield. This role is a balance of hands-on store management and strategic business oversight, requiring strong leadership, financial acumen, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Business Management:
Spend 3-4 days per week on the shop floor and 1-2 days on business management, adjusting as needed based on business demands.
Drive and achieve sales, gross margin, and cost targets (including labour and cost of goods).
Plan and manage weekly rotas across all stores to maintain efficiency while meeting cost targets, adjusting staffing for peak periods (weekends, summer, half-term, etc.).
Oversee stock management, including orders, stock takes, and minimisation of wastage.
Store Standards & Customer Experience:
Ensure cleanliness, customer service, and health & safety standards are maintained across all locations.
Implement and enforce employee manual procedures.
Coordinate and oversee store maintenance, including arranging approved contractors (plumbers, electricians, store modifications, etc.).
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
Manage staff performance, conduct regular assessments, and provide training and development opportunities.
Schedule and oversee staffing for private events, pop-ups, and promotional activities.
Foster a positive and professional work culture, ensuring strong teamwork and motivation.
What Were Looking For:
Proven multi-store or senior store management experience in a fast-paced retail or food & beverage environment.
Strong financial and business acumen, with experience in cost control and hitting sales targets.
Excellent people management skills, with experience in performance management and staff development.
Ability to handle operational challenges, multitask effectively, and adapt to business needs.
Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
Additional Terms:
This role requires flexibility, and occasional six-day weeks may be required depending on business needs.
Non-Compete Clause: Employees in this role are restricted from working for a competitor within 0.5 miles of any of our stores for a specified period after leaving the company.
