Preventative Maintenance Engineer – Corrugator Machine Our client is recruiting an experienced Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join their team in their Lancashire factory. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of the corrugator machine by adopting a continuous improvement approach to maintenance. Working as part of a larger team, you’ll be focusing on the corrugator machine and will be the subject matter expert. In your area, you’ll lead on the implementation of maintenance programmes designed to prevent failures and minimise downtime. You’ll conduct regular inspections to identify potential threats and find ways to resolve them before they escalate into a bigger problem in addition you’ll apply root cause analysis to breakdowns to engineer out further problems. On a daily basis, you’ll perform routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, adjustments and repairs as well as maintaining accurate records of all engineering activities and equipment performance. With a tenacious approach to your work, you’re constantly looking for the 100-year fix and will be actively involved in future improvement projects. The ideal candidate must have experience on packaging machinery and specifically corrugators. You’ll also be skilled in preventative maintenance and root cause analysis within a factory or industrial setting and strong knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics. Salary is £58k-£60k and the role is shift based (days only).
