B2B Payments team is looking for a Sr. Risk Manager to join the Credit Strategy and Operations team to manage the credit performance of the EU and UK Pay by Invoice portfolio. The successful candidate will be a thought leader who can help build and scale a best-in-class credit management program. The candidate will be responsible for managing the portfolio from a risk perspective to drive spend while staying within a target loss rate. In this role, the candidate will drive credit policy changes and procedures, inform automated decisions and monitoring systems and enable credit decisions based on the customer's financials and credit worthiness. The ideal candidate should possess strong people and credit management skills, directly support continuous improvement initiatives, be highly analytical, resourceful, Customer-focused and team oriented, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. This is a management role directly managing a team of risk managers; demonstrated success managing a team is a must. Key job responsibilities - Developing credit strategies to profitably grow invoice financing portfolio with a balance of risk controls, proactive identification of emerging portfolio hot-spots - Regularly evaluate and enhance growth and loss mitigation policies, and drives net-new initiatives for on-boarding, underwriting and exposure management - Have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of small and large buyers alike - Break down complex problem in smaller, simplified work streams - Articulate to different audience in both verbal and written communication - Work in a fast paced, highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience in compliance, audit or risk management - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level - Working knowledge of SQL and/or other scripting languages such as SAS/Python/R - Knowledge of credit lifecycle including PD/LGD/EAD Preferred Qualifications - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification - Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent - Master's degree or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
