What will your role look like?
Deputise for the Registered Manager, ensuring a positive, person-centred environment
Handle administration and provide weekly management reports
Plan and oversee shifts, ensuring smooth operations
Supervise staff, ensuring clarity on duties and care plans
Support staff development through training, supervision, and guidance
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
Conduct staff appraisals and address performance issues
Manage budgets, finances, and attendance records
Attend childcare reviews and planning meetings
Engage in direct work with young people as a role model
Maintain accurate records for monitoring and evaluation
Are you the right person for the job?
You will ideally hold a QCF Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People, though those with a strong background in management and transferable skills will be considered on individual merit
Ideally have prior experience working in a Children’s Residential Setting
Possess strong leadership skills
Have a Person-centred approach to create a safe, nurturing environment
Be organised and proactive, capable of handling administration and shift planning

Paid Overtime (125% of contracted hourly rate)
Overtime Bonus (£100 for every 50 hours of overtime completed)
£50 per night sleep allowance when required (approx. value £3,(Apply online only) hours of annual leave (28 days)

Staff referral system. £1,000 if we hire a QCF 3 Children & Young People qualified person who has been introduced to the company by an existing member of staff. £500 if we hire someone who has not yet obtained the qualification
