Nicholas & Harris has over 180 years of heritage in craft baking methods. If you like artisanal, organic and speciality breads, or have special dietary or nutritional preferences, our Salisbury has you covered The ‘Front Line Manager’ plays a vital part of our Operational and Supply Chain processes from both an inbound and outbound perspective, reporting into the site Warehouse Manager; driving our Finsbury Food Group values of Teamwork, Ownership, Communication, Honesty & Respect throughout the Warehouse and site teams. You will be measured on key KPIs such as customer service and accuracy of stock. We are a 24/7 running business, so flexibility to work some weekends and nights when necessary against business needs will be important. To be a success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of goods inbound/outbound logistics, ideally within an FMCG environment. At Finsbury Food Group, the development of our people is important, so experience of developing people skills within a team will be essential to the department’s success. Preferably, you will hold some sort of Forklift license; we will consider industry specific licenses appose to just recognised external licenses. This is however not essential as full training would be given. This is what you’ll actually do As ‘Front Line Manager’, reporting directly to the site Warehouse Manager, you will efficiently oversee the receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of our outbound finished goods and raw materials into Nicholas & Harris, leading a team of 20 Warehouse Operatives across both days and nights. To effectively achieve this, you will require a proactive, collaborative and highly participative approach to managing an efficient and safe operation. This is a very fast paced working environment, so you must be able to prioritise workload and react quickly to new challenges, whilst delivering short, medium and long term operational and supply chain efficiency benefits. Strong communication skills will be critical to your success with our customers, suppliers and 3rd party service providers. We pride ourselves on providing a safe working environment for our colleagues and you will be responsible for maintaining these high standards of health & safety, hygiene and security within the warehouse. You will work within the wider site team at Nicholas & Harris, working closely and cross-functionally, but will report into the group supply chain team. Ideally this is you Forklift license holder (Preferable) Effective communication skills Previous experience leading a fast paced warehouse team Able to maintain a flexible approach to day-to-day workload; capable of working under own initiative & direction Self-motivated with ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast-moving environment Attention to detail with a commitment to high standards IT literate. Particularly around MS Excel, Word, M3 preferable Team player with a hands on attitude with people, product and process.
