Job Description Mig/Tig Welder Daventry - NN11 Monday to Friday Full time (Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:15pm & Friday 7am - 1pm) £16.00ph Temporary to Permanent or Permanent opportunities ACS Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a number of MIG/TIG welders to join our client, who works within a production environment, our client has over 50 years of manufacturing experience in fabricated metal products. Our client provides services to a variety of industries including automotive, agriculture, and transport. The production welder positions will be working on a variety of components and working from engineering drawings, the majority of the welding will be on a mild steel. Responsibilities of a MIG/TIG Welder: Set, operate and maintain the MIG and TIG Welder machines and related tools and equipment. MIG Welding with mild steel mainly Read and interpret engineering drawings in order to lay out a welding project. Test and inspect welded surfaces to ensure compliance with customers specifications. Use measuring instruments such as micrometres and calipers to inspect the parts. Diagnose issues and troubleshoot as and when required. Some general fabrication duties such as cut and smooth metal components, using plasma cutters, portable grinders etc., bore holes through metal work pieces using drill press. Meeting Production deadlines Report any faults found to the Production Supervisors. Adhere to all Health and Safety legislation at all times.
