Teaching Personnel is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to work in a school in York, supporting students who may face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in young people’s lives, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and a positive approach to learning.
Role Overview:
* Location: York
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time available
Key Responsibilities:
* Build positive relationships with students to support their personal and academic development
* Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions
* Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
* Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to implement effective strategies
* Help students develop emotional regulation and social skills
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural needs (desirable but not essential)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* A passion for supporting students in overcoming challenges
