A secondary school in Denton is looking for a Maths Intervention Specialist to join their team and work with students who need additional support in Maths. This role is perfect for a graduate or experienced tutor with a passion for supporting students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Targeted Support: Provide Maths intervention to KS3 and KS4 students, helping them to close gaps in knowledge and boost their confidence in the subject.
2. Small Group Sessions: Deliver tailored lessons to groups of students who require extra help in grasping mathematical concepts.
3. Progress Tracking: Regularly assess the progress of students, provide feedback to teachers, and adjust interventions as necessary.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with the Maths department and other specialists to ensure consistent support for all students.
5. Exam Preparation: Support students in preparation for GCSE exams by focusing on key areas of weakness and reinforcing exam techniques.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualifications: A strong Maths background (ideally to A-Level or degree level).
2. Experience: Previous experience tutoring or supporting students in Maths is highly desirable.
3. Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to explain concepts clearly, and the capability to inspire students.
4. Personality: Motivated, empathetic, and flexible, with a passion for supporting students to succeed in Maths.
