The successful candidates will complete rotations in localities across the Borough and, depending on the rotation, this will involve working in specialist provision (special schools and nurseries) community clinic-based services (for pre-school & mainstream school children), and in the Paediatric Musculoskeletal clinic, in order to develop their skills and experience with all ages and abilities of children/young people.
The post holders will be responsible for providing a high standard of physiotherapy intervention for children aged 0-18/19 referred to the service with a range of developmental and neurological conditions and/or complex needs, or musculoskeletal related conditions, and to organise and coordinate their own caseload with supervision from the Team Leader. There will also be the opportunity to work in the Paediatric Musculoskeletal Clinic.
The successful candidates will be highly motivated, team players with some previous experience in paediatric physiotherapy. Excellent communication skills are expected and own transport will also be beneficial. They will be joining a friendly and supportive team that is passionate about delivering a high-quality service for our children and families, and will be encouraged to be involved in service development and other quality improvement initiatives to improve staff & service user experiences.
We offer multidisciplinary assessment and reviews, joint OT/physio clinics, CPIPs assessments and shared care clinics with neuro-orthopaedics and rheumatology, and an orthotics service.
Professional development and training will be supported within our department by experienced paediatric physiotherapists and you will be part of an in-service training program. Development of excellent clinical skills will be promoted and supported by senior staff, along with access to external training available in line with your personal development plan.
