Main duties of the job
* Provide Administrative support to clinical and non-clinical services.
* Attend schools and clinics to support delivery of immunisation programmes.
* Work as part of a team.
* Answer telephone and/or email enquiries, processing and maintaining records (paper and electronic), using SystmOne, updating databases and spreadsheets, scanning, typing, photocopying, and arranging meetings/events.
* Receive telephone calls from patients who wish to book or change their appointments or have general enquiries.
* Act as a first point of contact for all forms of communication.
Person specification
Qualifications and Professional Training
* NVQ Level 2, GCSE Level or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience & Knowledge
* Previous experience of dealing with the public and taking telephone enquiries.
* Experience of accurate data inputting.
* Ability to produce work of a good standard with attention to detail.
Skills and Attributes
* Good oral and written communication skills with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
* Ability to communicate sensitively with all staff groups, patients and their families.
* Good organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Personal Qualities
* Flexible.
* Ability to use own initiative but understand the need to seek advice when necessary.
* Proactive.
* Ability to travel to clinics/meetings/sessions across the Trust.
