About the role
Responsible for developing Rental and Safety Services (RSS) as a Business Unit within the UK and Ireland through driving sales, GGP and profit growth in line with the businesses mid term plans and targets. This role will focus on the strategic development of customers and the offer for the RSS product portfolio within the framework of the Go-to-Market strategy.
This role will define and deliver new opportunities for growth through the most effective route to market, developing effective reporting to allow measurement of progress and reviewing barriers and enablers to facilitate accelerated, profitable growth.
Specific duties will include:
1. Identification, development and acquisition of customer projects.
2. Identifying opportunities and stakeholders.
3. Elaborating on and presenting specific offers.
4. Concluding the project or contract in close cooperation with the whole UK and Ireland sales organization and the RSS headquarter departments.
5. Project calculations, ongoing controlling of commercial project results and independent analysis of profitable project development.
6. Ensure new products are robustly marketed and sold.
7. Management of offers and tenders.
8. Development of Business Unit with national sales, profit and GGP responsibility.
9. Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure maximisation of sales and profit potential, offering a great customer experience.
10. Define the preferred routes to market, putting the best interests of Draeger first.
11. Management of long-term customer projects and integration of existing portfolio components into the customer offering.
12. Analysing and deriving commercial potentials, discussing and implementing those with the operational project managers.
13. Coordinating customer requirements with the internal RSS interfaces including resource availability and fulfillment of requirements.
14. Observation and evaluation of competitor activities.
15. Support the marketing and communication processes between RSS HQ and the local RSS team.
16. Analysis of the market and technology trends, market data, customer needs and competition, derivation of business potentials.
17. Support with attendance at relevant events and trade fairs.

Size of team/environment
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for ensuring close collaboration with all the sales teams and people to ensure there is a co-ordinated and robust promotion and selling of our RSS offer. Initially, this is a “team of one”, but you will be working closely with the management teams within Sales & Marketing.

1. University degree in business and/or technical studies - preferred.
2. Professional experience in selling and managing customized, managed services in a comparable industrial environment - required.
3. Market, product and application knowledge - required.
4. Skills, Special Competencies:

7. Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
8. Business fluent in English.
9. Interest in (international) business trips.
10. Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
