HOURS: 37 ½ hours per week – Mon – Thurs 0815 – 1700 / Fri 0815 – 1245
LOCATION: Norwich, NR7 (when you are in the UK)
About the role:
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced mechanical and/or electrical engineers to join our growing team as a Technical Support Engineer.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide critical support to our customers, ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of our systems and equipment in mission-critical environments.
Your expertise will help maintain high standards of customer satisfaction as you troubleshoot technical problems and offer solutions on a timely basis. In addition to direct interaction with clients, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, develop training materials and deliver training courses.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be happy to travel, as your working time will be spent on-site at customer locations, both in the UK and abroad, either working on your own or in a small team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ship Commission, Decommission, Survey and Testing MSI Gunnery Systems at Royal Navy locations in UK and abroad
* Survey, Repair and perform Maintenance on ATK Mk44 Ordnance at home and abroad
* Perform Test Firing of weapons (once trained) on customer owned ships
* Detailed fault finding to rectify customer reported faults
* Attend Sea Trials for periods of time at sea, keeping to ship routines
* Input MIS Data (IFS) to update as maintained
* Produce accurate, detailed and timely reports
* Construct, conduct and instruct training courses within the factory and on board ships
* Any other such duties that may be reasonably compatible with the nature and scope of the role
About the person:
To be a successful candidate for this role you must be able to demonstrate the below attributes and skillsets:
Qualifications/Education Requirements:
* Mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC/ONC)
Technical Skills and Experience:
* Mechanical/electrical background, preferably in a military environment.
* Able to read complex wiring diagrams and devise workable fault diagnosis instructions
* Physically fit to Eng 1 standard and be capable of passing Sea Survival course
* Adherence to health and safety practices and procedures
* High level of computer literacy to include Excel, Word and Powerpoint

* A positive ‘can do’ approach with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers in possible extreme environmental conditions, in the UK and abroad.
* Resourceful, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexible and can adapt quickly to changing schedules
* Full Driving Licence to drive in the UK and abroad
* UK Valid passport with no travel restrictions
* Previous Weapons Maintenance Training
* Previous customer-facing Service Engineer role
