Research and External Engagement (REE) is a new integrated service dedicated to driving forward the University’s ambitions for research, innovation, skills and enterprise. This professional service works to support our students, drive research excellence, upskill and reskill the region’s workforce, strengthening relationships and engagement with our alumni, business and community partners.
Through cutting-edge research initiatives, hands-on learning opportunities, strategic partnerships, civic leadership, and skills delivery, we will empower individuals to thrive in an ever-changing world.
The Business and Alumni Partnerships team, within REE, is responsible for building a pipeline of opportunities and delivering activity through engagement with external partners. The team works closely with colleagues across REE and with the University’s Colleges and Schools to develop long-term relationships with alumni, employers, and industry. With focused, targeted areas of responsibility, the team actively delivers engagement across REE’s portfolio of research, innovation, skills, and enterprise.
The Business Partnerships Managers will develop, manage and implement long-term strategic partnerships to advance UWE Bristol’s impact on the region. Each Business Partnerships Manager will develop and manage a portfolio of key strategic partnerships including major employers in the region.
They will build and manage these important external relationships, identifying shared challenges, goals, and priorities. They will represent UWE Bristol’s research and teaching strengths, working closely and collaboratively with key academic partnership roles in the University’s Colleges and Schools.
We are looking to complete the team with roles that align to one of the following industries:
* Corporate and Professional Services (including Fintech)
* Clean Energy Industries (including Greentech)

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week. This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time. UWE Bristol is a campus-based University and it is vital to our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is therefore campus-based for at least 60% of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
