Doncaster Adults Respite are now looking for a Deputy/Assistant to the Manager. This is a Grade 8 position with an annual salary of £31,372, which includes an 8.5% all-inclusive allowance. It is a permanent role with a total of 37 hours per week.
The rota comprises shifts from 7am-3pm, 2pm-10pm, sleep-ins, and every other weekend. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of Eden Lodge and Wickett Hern Rd, ensuring the provision of high-quality short stay services in compliance with Care Quality Commission and CDC contractual residential standards.

The candidate must follow agreed guidelines and work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive management team.
The right candidate must have management experience and knowledge of CQC and relevant legislations, as this respite service is CQC registered.

Essential Requirements
1. Minimum level 3 (health and social care), desirable level 4
2. Proficiency in written and verbal English
3. Experience in Health & Social Care
4. Experience in implementing care planning and processes, service operating procedures, and working with quality assurance systems
5. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
6. Knowledge of relevant and current national strategies, Health and Social Care legislation, and initiatives associated with the post
7. Awareness of working in a Community Led Support Model
8. Use of IT systems, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and service user recording systems
9. Effective professional communication skills, liaising with other professionals
10. Ability to work independently
11. Ability to respond positively to and actively support Senior Management within the service
12. Ability to provide motivational support for behaviour changes
13. Ability to demonstrate personal accountability, resilience, and work well under pressure
14. Experience and knowledge of medication processes and best practices
15. Working knowledge of safeguarding processes
