Job Description

Our significant growth has led us to invest further in our Account Management team to increase revenue, partnerships with our existing customers, and in turn grow our product portfolio further. With this comes requirements for an Account Manager to join our Fueller family! You will be extensively trained and supported to become an ambassador of The Fuel Store, to identify account growth opportunities for our fuel and non-fuel products in order to generate revenue and increase sales overall.
Brief Overview:
Permanent Opportunity: Full Time
Location: Birmingham, B2 (Hybrid)
Requirements
* Maximise the retention rate of your customer base, actively combatting loss of usage.
* Assist in identifying problem accounts with the aim to boost revenue.
* Develop an understanding of customer drawing patterns and identifying movement out of the norm.
* Build strong client relationships.
* Analyze business data and initiate periodic and ad hoc client reports.
* Be aware of industry trends while being proactive to changes in the oil market.
To contribute to The Fuel Store’s success, you will need:
* At least three years’ experience in an Account Management/Retention role.
* To actively contribute to a positive working environment, demonstrating the company core values and behaviors.
* Negotiation skills (Negotiate rate, influence conversations).
* Strong communication – articulate and address customer concerns.
* Commercial Awareness (Rate Management).
* A strong level of resilience.
* Adaptability (Our industry is ever-changing, strategies can change quickly).
* Ability to work to a high volume and manage your own diary effectively.
* The ability to learn quickly and take in complex information.
* Familiarity with CRM systems.
As well as having the right experience, a Fueller will have:
* Ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships.
* Strong commercial awareness to make logical decisions.
* Strong motivation to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Great aptitude for overcoming challenges by having a naturally inquisitive mind.
* Ability to challenge the status quo; actively seeking to understand HOW something works, not just WHY.
* Resilience and ability to focus on the detail but not forget the bigger picture.
* Ability to work hard as an individual but also bring value to the wider team.
* Excellent communicator and act as an “ambassador” for all stakeholders.
* Ability to be logical when making decisions.
* Excellent organisation and time management.
