Project Manager This role requires someone with at least five years' experience as a Project Manager from the UK utilities, HV power, electricity or EV energy sectors. A full UK driving licence is a necessity with flexibility to travel UK wide when required in line with business or project demands. Overview Due to an increase in contract awards, a significant forward order workload, multiple long running frameworks, and a dedication to continued profitable and sustained growth, our client is now seeking to appoint an experienced Project Manager covering the aforementioned areas, including all associated civils and infrastructure. As Project Manager, you will hold responsibility for planning, programming resourcing and delivering projects, contracts and frameworks in your respective workstream. This is a pivotal role, responsible for the management and mitigation of project risk, culminating in the on-time delivery of a portfolio of complex and challenging works, meeting business and legislative requirements in project performance, client expectations and HSEQ compliance. The Role Managing multiple projects include installation of LV / HV power and EV schemes, also including all civils aspects, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations (HSE, CDM, COSSH, NRSWA, HASAWA etc), and achieving agreed delivery and quality timescales Working on multiple projects across various sectors running simultaneously at differing stages of the contract lifecycle Conducting regular site visits and attending client meetings. Managing all project-related correspondence schedules, deliverables and documentation. Planning, programming and purchasing. Organisation of labour, plant, materials, resources and sub-contractors, including SAP’s and Engineers workloads Implement the company’s and its customers safety rules, instructions, standing orders and procedures. Prepare project safety and CDM plans and Risk Assessments as part of overall programs Actively monitor teams within your line management responsibility Ensure Risk Assessments are carried out at all stages of a project (design, planning, generic and Daily On Site) Ensure that all statutory records, certificates, licenses, notifications and notices are in place. Conduct site safety inspections and complete associated paperwork. Assist in costing schemes for quotation if required. Identify and inform Directors of commercial opportunities as appropriate. Review and monitor programme schedule using appropriate Project Management tools. The Person A qualification in electrical or civil engineering (or demonstrable level of achievement through experience) Certificated in First Aid, Manual Handling, NRASWA, SMSTS, SHEA Power, CSCS At least five years’ experience in managing multiple projects in the utilities or HV/EV electricity sectors Sound project & team management skills and methodology Knowledge of H&S and its practical implications, CDM regulations and HAUC Thorough understanding of NEC Contracts Strong stakeholder management, engagement experience and commercial acumen. Ability to understand, manage and deliver KPI’ s. Ability to contribute technical knowledge to proposals and reports. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Innovative, creative and proactive with a solutions-oriented approach. Flexibility to travel UK wide as required in line with business or project requirements. Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Commercially focused and aware.
