The firm offers a full complement of tax services including self-assessment, capital gains, inheritance, trusts, estates, and much more. This role has been designed to help an individual level up their compliance knowledge and experience, while moving and progressing them to more complex advisory work.
The role as Tax Semi-Senior in the Corporate Tax department:
* Preparation of CT600 Corporate Tax returns & CT61 returns for a range of Limited Companies as well as the personal tax returns for Directors.
* Timely advising of CT liabilities, knowledge of the group aspects of corporation tax, management of all necessary claims and elections including the most tax-efficient relief for losses.
* Responsibility for a small portfolio of clients with support from Manager.
* Assistance with advisory work including elements of ad hoc research on larger projects.
The candidate:
* ATT qualified.
* 1-2 years’ experience of corporate tax advisory with a proficient level of technical knowledge.
* Knowledge of cross-border aspects of company taxation including double tax relief would be useful.
* Previous knowledge and experience of issues affecting the sector would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of accounting systems and control environments within a finance function.
* Previous use of CCH or equivalent systems would be an advantage.
* Strong Excel skills (including vlookup, sumif, and Pivot Tables).
* The role is not exclusively office-based; therefore, the ability to drive and access to your own transport to travel to client sites will be necessary.

* £23-30k
* There is full study support for ATT or CTA if required.
* Ongoing CPD provided.
