We are recruiting a Childcare Support Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed term for 8 Months

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Childrens Services Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £27,711 - £30,060 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Supporting Family Change (SFC) provides an early intervention and prevention service for families residing within the Caerphilly area. SFC offers both direct and multi-agency coordinated support for children, young people and their families to help them in times of need. They operate a Team Around the Family approach (TAF) that puts the family’s desired outcomes at the heart of the support they receive (right support, right time, right now) as we offer a no waiting list open referral point of access.
The successful applicant will need to be an effective communicator and confident in Multi Agency and Co-Participation Working, building meaningful relationships with families and positive constructive professional relationships with both statutory and voluntary sector partners.
We are looking for someone with passion and commitment to support families improve their desired outcomes by working collaboratively to promote ‘the matters agenda’ to children, young people and their families.
Caerphilly Children's Services have strong links with the Families First Welsh Government Initiatives and Supporting Family Change (SFC) is part of the agreed early intervention and prevention initiative
For the role, we ask that you have:
A level 2 Care or equivalent qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW).
An understanding of children and young people’s behaviour, and the need for support and intervention in some circumstances.
Excellent keyboard skills and an understanding of the need for accountability in recording accurate and timely case records.
A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
