Role: Project Manager, Small Works
Location: Brecon Barracks, Wales
Working Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Car or Car Allowance
Our client is currently recruiting for a Small Works Project Manager to be based on site at an RAF base in Brecon, Wales. You will be responsible for overseeing the effective, compliant, and timely delivery of under £250k Billable Works.
You will be responsible for monitoring and managing the Supply Partners project teams to ensure that qualified and experienced operatives are directed to the correct tasks. This will include ensuring that they are correctly outfitted for the tasks, including appropriate vehicles, equipment, and skills, and ensuring that the delivery of works is to a high quality and worked safely.
Other responsibilities for this role include:
1. Ensuring that all documentation relating to billable works is distributed in a timely manner and recorded within the CAFM system.
2. Ensuring appropriate Billable work plans and budgets are in place to achieve programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting the changing operational need.
3. Ensuring, as far as reasonably practical, that all persons on site observe the requirements of JSP 375, working closely with the Authorised Persons team to ensure compliance.
4. Keeping regular contact with the Area Manager and the client, providing weekly progress reports and informing them of all project risks or opportunities.
5. Overseeing the Early Warning Notification and Risk Reduction Meeting process.
6. Identifying opportunities on establishments to support the site’s Net Zero carbon reduction targets within Billable Works initiatives to achieve them.
7. Managing cost and stakeholder expectations through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure value for money.
What you'll need to do this role:
1. A HNC/HND qualification in Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
2. A management-level qualification in health and safety, such as SMSTS, is essential.
3. Strong IT skills.
Package:
1. £45,000 basic salary.
