Senior Finance Manager | Innovative Retail and E-Commerce Brand | London (Hybrid)
Harmonic is proud to be working on an exclusive basis with one of the UK’s most exciting retail and e-commerce brands on the hire of a Senior Finance Manager to join the team.
Our client’s business is incredibly creative, innovative, and unique, which has resonated well with consumers. As a result, they have been successfully growing across the UK. They currently have over 15 retail stores performing exceptionally well, with plans underway to open another 5 sites across the next 6 months. This growth trajectory is expected to see their turnover double from approximately £9 million to £15 million.
In addition to their strong high-street presence, the business has been expanding its wholesale and e-commerce channels. Their products are now stocked in prestigious luxury retailers like Harrods and Selfridges, alongside a bespoke website dedicated to direct-to-consumer sales.
Reporting into the CFO, the Senior Finance Manager will take ownership of financial reporting, oversee strategic financial planning, and support key projects to facilitate the company’s continued growth. This role offers a blend of hands-on responsibilities and strategic leadership, ideal for candidates excited by the opportunity to influence a business at a pivotal point in its journey.
Our client is based in Zone 1, just a short walk from a Piccadilly Line station, and operates a hybrid working policy (3 days in the office). Their offices are architecturally designed and serve as a creative hub for their inclusive and collaborative culture.
The Role:
* Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs, ensuring accuracy and clarity for key stakeholders.
* Deliver insightful analysis of store-level performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
* Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, working closely with operational teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
* Partner with the leadership team to evaluate new initiatives, site openings, and pricing strategies, providing robust financial modelling and recommendations.
* Implement and manage financial controls across stores, ensuring adherence to best practices in cash management, inventory, and procurement.
* Drive the improvement of financial systems and processes, ensuring scalability as the business grows.
* Manage and develop a small finance team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
* Liaise with auditors, banks, and other external partners to ensure compliance and maintain strong relationships.
* Support on key strategic initiatives such as funding rounds, expansion planning, and process automation.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) with a strong track record in financial leadership.
* Experience in retail, e-commerce, hospitality, or product-based businesses.
* Exceptional analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
* Strong project management skills, ideally with experience in systems implementation.
* Collaborative mindset and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
* Background in audit or practice.
* Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
* Familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
