In this role, you will: Provide individual and small group support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering a safe and trusting environment. Work closely with other professionals to implement effective strategies in line with each students individual learning plan. Utilise a range of techniques to manage challenging behaviour, promote emotional regulation, and develop positive social skills. Encourage and support learners participation in classroom activities and social interactions. Contribute to the development and implementation of a positive behaviour support system. Key Responsibilities: Deliver a thematic curriculum to students within a specialist setting. Develop and lead engaging learning programs that cater to the unique needs of learners within your area of expertise. Collaborate with senior managers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of national curriculum areas related to your role. Contribute to the development of collaborative curriculum packages and programs to support student needs. To be successful in this role, you will need: Proven experience as a teacher, with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, QTLS) A strong understanding of the needs of students with emotional and social challenges and experience working with complex behaviours. A commitment to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment. TeamTeach qualification is desirable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with learners, families, and colleagues.
