Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30/ 08:30- 17:30.
Friday 7:30- 13:30
For the last 3 decades our client has designed and manufactured some of the world's most reliable and versatile powder filling machinery. They manufacture semi and fully automated filling machines built to facilitate the demands of some of the largest companies within the FMCG and Pharmaceutical industries. Our client has an excellent reputation for designing machinery to maximize performance, reduce waste, and limit operation and maintenance costs.
They are looking for an ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to join them as they expand their team.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure the electrical aspects of the machines are designed to the highest standard, within budget and within the requested time frame.
2. Keep internal customers up to date with electrical design aspects.
3. Generate project specific Electrical Schematics, Line layouts, Test Documentation, Safety Documentation & Inspection Documents.
4. Specify electrical components from customer user requirements for use on projects.
5. Generate wiring diagrams & cabinet layouts using Electrical CAD Software (Solidworks Electrical).
6. Generate BOM's using an ERP system.
7. Develop, test, and evaluate theoretical designs.
8. Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety & time constraints in all designs.
9. Ensure the quality of work generated reaches the required standard.
10. Provide technical telephone support for customers.
11. Provide support off site to resolve customer's technical issues.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Remotely assist in the manufacturing of the end products.
2. Provide electrical technical assistance as required.
3. Look for ways to improve the business, both from within your own function and that of others, and assist in identifying and championing new ideas.
What We Expect You to Bring
1. Good PC skills - Word, Excel, etc. Knowledge of ERP systems.
2. Good time management skills, able to prioritize work accordingly.
3. Understanding of relevant global technical Standards.
4. Ability to design electrical Schematics using an Electrical CAD Package.

3. Willingness to work as part of a close-knit team, but capable of working independently when required.
4. Occasional travel to manufacturing site as required.
