Vanguard Learning Trust welcomes applications for the position of class teacher (maternity cover) at Hermitage Primary School. We are looking for a key stage 2 (maternity cover) teacher who will embrace Hermitage’s vision, including maintaining its relentless focus on high-quality teaching and learning. Our new class teacher will:
* plan, teach, deliver and assess learning for a class of pupils, as part of a year team;
* create a safe and stimulating learning environment that enables the children to flourish;
* provide pastoral care and guidance for their class, in line with the school’s procedures; and
* be part of a wider team of professionals who have an unwavering belief in the potential of our pupils.
We are looking for someone who:
* can lead by example as a teacher achieving high standards of pupil attainment, behaviour and motivation through effective professional practice;
* has the ability to specialise in a subject, providing professional guidance and support for colleagues with other specialists; and
* will play a full part in the life of the school community, to support its ethos and to encourage and ensure staff and pupils follow this example.
