Hours of Work: 7.00 to 16.30 Mon to Thurs, 7.00 to 12.00 midday Friday

From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), the electrical engineer is a role where you will use your problem-solving skills and technical expertise every day to maintain the efficient operation of our production machines and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Prompt response to machine breakdowns
* Fault-finding
* Maintaining electric/water/air services and the fabric of the building
* Design and manufacture/fabrication of jigs and fixtures
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills, experience and abilities required:
Essential:
* Minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline
* Analytical, planning and organisational skills
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes
* Interpersonal and communications skills in English (oral & written)
* ProtoTRAK CNC mill controls or similar and GE Fanuc series Oi CNC Lathe controls or similar
* PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
Desirable:
* City and Guilds 2330 – electrical installation
* NVQ Electrical Installation
* 17th BS7671:2008
* Knowledge of lean tools and applications
Physical demands:
* Lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling, standing, sitting, significant fine finger dexterity.
