Quality Inspection Engineer, Salisbury, £35,000pa
Purpose
As a Quality Inspection Engineer for this well-established, niche engineering company, you will play a crucial part in running the company’s Quality department ensuring quality of components and assemblies through the manufacturing process. This role will be a mixture of hands-on inspection, dealing with customers and suppliers, and completing reports and paperwork.

Responsibilities
As a Quality Inspection Engineer your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and running the Quality department, being the first point of contact for staff
2. Controlling the inspection of all parts received from suppliers and all parts produced internally
3. Using a variety of manual and computer-aided inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometres, CMM machines etc
4. Investigating, reporting and correcting non-conformance issues
5. Compiling detailed inspection reports for new products, new suppliers or parts that have been manufactured/modified/repaired
6. Working closely with the R&D department regarding new product development
7. Liaising with customers and suppliers where necessary
As a Quality Inspection Engineer, you’ll have:
1. Previous Quality Inspection and Engineering experience within manufacturing
2. Both hands-on experience with inspection as well as the reporting and paperwork side of quality
3. Good communication skills to liaise with various departments within the business
4. Competency working with computers
5. A consistent employment history with references available
