We are looking for a part time (30 hours per week) dynamic and highly skilled clinician experienced in all aspects of inpatient rehabilitation and neurological physiotherapy outpatient rehabilitation settings.
A forward-thinking clinician with the skills to combine highly specialist clinical practice with innovation you will be committed to following best practice and the promotion of high-quality physiotherapy services. The successful post holder needs to be flexible, motivated, and committed to put the patient's strengths, voice, choice and control at the centre of any interventions.
As the clinical specialist for the community wards you will have demonstrable leadership qualities, excellent communication and time management skills with proven abilities to build networks across sites and disciplines.
Through your knowledge of emerging clinical advances within the speciality, you will be expected to advise the Operational Manager and Senior Management team to inform future service development.
Main duties of the job
The post is based in Chepstow Community Hospital. You will be split between the inpatient rehabilitation ward, Cas Gwent, and the Neuro physiotherapy outpatient department based at the hospital. The post holder must demonstrate excellent time management and flexible approaches to meet the needs of both services.
You may support other sites within ABUHB if the service needs require.
The post holder will also have some team lead duties as the static team is quite small. They will work closely with band 7's across the neighbourhood and ABUHB wide.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide training, education, supervision and appraisal for staff and students, locally and across the service.
As part of the role, you will contribute to the development of professional practice and the transformation and evaluation of service delivery and support research and innovation agenda.
