What you will do:
1. Be responsible for the line management of EPMO Specialists focused on management of the COO function.
2. Lead, coach, and mentor colleagues to deliver objectives aligned to the Bank strategy.
3. Ownership of highly confidential information relating to COO including supplier strategies, people costs, long term plans and personnel information.
4. MI gathering and interpretation from all teams in COO.
5. Provide a place to collate meaningful and accurate MI from around the teams in an accessible format.
6. Facilitate monthly SLT performance reviews between SLT and COO, based on MI dashboards.
7. Run budget management in conjunction with Finance partners including FTE tracking, supplier spend tracking (via Procurement) and supporting the SLT with monthly financial reviews.
8. Change budget management in conjunction with Finance partners and change budget owners.
9. COO reporting (non-change related) including a monthly Board performance update, ExCo updates and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) where BAU activity is on the agenda.
10. COO internal reporting (non-change related); Producing updates and overviews suitable for sharing internally to keep COO teams up to date and informed on progress, strategic cascades and team news.
11. Oversight of the COO tech academy, coordinating intake, selection and ongoing support, as well as communication about the initiative.
12. Support COO wide initiatives such as talent/succession planning, the apprentice scheme and training coordination.

What you will need:
1. Knowledge and experience in the use of tools including PowerBI, Jira, and Confluence.
2. You may have been in previous roles in which you have needed to demonstrate extensive experience of MI, value identification, and measurement within an Operations or CIO function.
3. Knowledge and experience of financial reporting and financial management within business teams.
4. Experience working with senior stakeholders and translating complex information into consumable internal and external reports.
5. Banking and IT operations knowledge.
6. Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders.
