Job purpose
As Employee Engagement and Experience Advisor you will play a key part in our busy People team, taking responsibility for delivery of a full range of Human Resources services. You will support the Employee Engagement and Experience Manager in the delivery of efficient and effective HR support and an advisory service to the business by providing first line contact on all people related issues consistent with internal processes and legal requirements.
Key responsibilities and duties
* With a people centric, solution driven approach provide first line generalist HR Advice to our colleagues.
* Own our recruitment process, from advert to hire, manage and lead the recruitment journey ensuring our processes are compliant, meaningful and encompass Situ's values.
* Drive continuous improvement, regularly review our processes and policies, provide advice and guidance with an innovative approach and be up to date with changes to employment law and best practices.
* Create, maintain, interpret, and share meaningful people related metrics/data with key stakeholders within the business.
* Manage Employee Relations, arrange and attend informal/formal meetings and hearings, ensuring that all paperwork is accurate. Take notes at meetings as required.
* With a one team, collaborative approach assist and support the wider People team. Escalate, liaise or refer to other colleagues within the People team when appropriate.
* Work closely with managers and provide advice and guidance on absence management issues.
* Collate accurate data, identify trends, and arrange and facilitate welfare meetings or disciplinaries when necessary.
* Coach, develop, and support our managers to support our colleagues, signposting our EAP, Occupational Health, Private Medical Insurance where appropriate.
* Participate and take ownership of your role within our job evaluation process.
* Complete regular salary benchmarking exercises, collate and present your findings.
* Understand our business, the local, national and global job market and how it may influence Situ's objectives.
* Update and maintain our HR Information System data, ensuring all data is accurate and appropriately recorded and documented in a timely manner.
* Know our people and be passionate about employee engagement.
* Identify existing and up and coming talent, support managers to nurture and retain our talented colleagues and address poor performance, behavioural issues through meaningful conversations, growth plans, 1:1s and appraisals, signposting or referring to our Learning and Development Lead and/or Employee Engagement and Experience Manager when appropriate.
* Contribute to and drive people related initiatives adopting a people centric approach. Whilst championing employee well-being and fostering a positive and productive work environment you will balance the needs of our employees with Situ's commercial objectives to support overall growth and success.
