Huxley Bertram Engineering Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Engineer to join our successfully developing manufacturing / engineering company, near Cambridge. This is a unique role in the company to ensure the quality and reliability of our products and processes, supporting with engineering documentation, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our solutions. This role will suit someone who has a degree in engineering or quality, with a basic understanding in quality assurance principles, and a keen attitude to develop themselves and systems, and who works well collaboratively with others.

What You'll Do
As Junior Quality Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
* Maintain the company's documentation system to ensure the required business documents are in place
* Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures
* Conduct inspections and tests on products and components to ensure compliance with quality standards
* Identify and document any defects or issues and collaborate with the engineering team to resolve them
* Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, non -conformances and corrective actions
* Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including test plans, test cases, and quality reports
* Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues
* Assist in the preparation and execution of internal and external audits
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycle
* Aid in the preparation & and execution of FAT and SAT (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) equipment validation protocol and reports for pharmaceutical and medical device clients
Who You Are

* Bachelors degree in engineering, quality or a related field
* Basic understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Office 365 productivity tools
* Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus
* Keen attitude to develop themselves and systems
* Works well in a team
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable but not required

* Competitive Salary: £25,000 - £35,000, depending on experience, with a discretionary bonus.
* Flexible Work Hours: 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri) with core hours from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm; this role is also available for part-time working, 4 days per week.
* Holidays: 28 days, including Bank Holidays, plus additional days over the Christmas period.
