Senior Payroll Analyst - 6 month contract - up to £27 per hour - London - Hybrid
Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be partnered with a leading not for profit provider, who are looking to expand their Payroll function, by adding an additional Senior Payroll Analyst. This role is to ensure all payroll payments and deductions for UK, and overseas employees are made accurately and on time. The role will also provide training to Payroll Analysts and ensure continuous improvement is achieved, and that any inefficiencies or errors are identified and rectified. This position is for on a 6 month basis, and has the flexibility of a hybrid working pattern of 1 day per week, in their London office.
The Senior Payroll Analyst will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:
* Responsible for the maintaining and updating of pay records for employees and workers via the integrated HR/Payroll system.
* Continual analysis of the Payroll system so that it is accurate in line with best practice and supports HR policy and process and organisational structure and is compliant from a payroll perspective.
* Responsible for training of Payroll Analysts in all technical aspects of the system, including complex technical processes and investigative analysis to ensure accuracy of all payments.
* Input monthly payroll data in the Business System where required in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations and to pre-defined timescales.
* Act as a first line support, providing support and guidance to all affected employees and management of complex pay queries
* Monitor using all appropriate reports and expertise, all overpayments in accordance with project requirements
* Support the HR Services teams and Finance on any compliance and governance requirements.
Key Skills:
* Proven experience and working knowledge of a monthly payroll cycle and calculating over/underpayments, within a large complex organisation.
* Experience of Oracle Payroll is desirable.
* Experience of internal or external audits.
* High level of numeracy skills with the ability to undertake manual and often complex calculations
* Good Excel skills
