Your new role
As our new Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading on Civil Engineering / Infrastructure design for projects led by this discipline or projects led by other departments where Ramboll’s offering is multi-disciplinary. You will also have a direct connection with the wider Development teams based across the UK.
Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Coordinate project research including site surveys and site inspections
2. Prepare bid and contract documentation
3. Prove ability in financial arrangements for projects including fee forecasting, fee preparation, and allocation
4. Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety (including CDM Regulations), quality, and training
5. Provide guidance, instruct, motivate, and manage assigned staff on the project
6. Responsible for the competency assessment of staff involved in the project
7. Ability to organize and conduct several activities simultaneously
8. Establishing relationships with individuals from other organizations, generating market intelligence and new business opportunities
9. Able to prepare single discipline bid documentation (in association with other disciplines)

10. BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering
11. Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, MICE
12. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
13. Experience or knowledge of resourcing, progress measurement, earned value analysis, completion forecasting and status reporting
14. A confident and professional manner, coupled with excellent communication skills, with clients and colleagues alike, to ensure clarity in all situations and to effectively influence
15. Ability to work well under pressure and proven ability to deliver to deadlines
