Job Title: Sister/Charge Nurse
Location: Lent Rise House, Burnham
Hours: Full-time – 36 hours per week
Pay: £25.00 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at our nursing home in Slough, to support the Deputy Clinical Manager with the management of the service, with a particular emphasis on clinical nursing leadership, to ensure that an excellent standard of resident care is set, delivered, and always maintained.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* RGN and currently registered with NMC
* Working knowledge of the Regulatory Framework relating to the care of Older People
* Demonstrable post registration experience of leading a care team in a care of the older persons clinical setting
* Evidence of clinical training
* Experience of care planning and key working principles
* Understanding of relevant health & safety legislation
Principal tasks will include:
* To deputise for the Deputy Clinical Manager and Home Manager in their absence, being responsible for the safe and efficient running of the service.
* To organise own time and be accountable for the work delegated to other members of the nursing and care team.
* To support the Deputy Clinical Manager/Home Manager in the management of recruitment, retention and performance, attendance and conduct related issues.
* To ensure the implementation and embedding of all Trust clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures within the Home.
* To be responsible for ensuring that all care and nursing team members maintain accurate and timely written and electronic care records in accordance with Trust policy and procedures.
* To be involved in all aspects of quality assurance including internal and external audits and the effective and safe use of resources and equipment.
* To ensure that all medications, including controlled drugs are ordered, received, logged, stored, administered and disposed of in accordance with the Trust’s Medicines Policy, NMC and CQC guidance on drug administration.
