The Team:
ECM is a global team of more than 100 professionals responsible for the efficient and prudent management of the Corporation's as well as its subsidiaries' capital across the enterprise globally.
ECM implements the Board's capital management strategy including issuance, redemption or repurchase of common stock and other capital instruments. ECM works closely with lines of business and guides them to manage the enterprise's capital including design and implementation of capital allocation methodologies efficiently and proactively. ECM also recommends capital related financial resource limits to senior management. In addition, ECM produces and monitors regulatory and internal economic capital metrics including capital adequacy ratios, leverage exposure and risk-weighted assets and oversees the end-to-end capital measurement process across the enterprise.
Role Overview:
The candidate will join the Enterprise Capital Management International team with a focus on providing subject matter expertise on both externally driven prudential regulations and internal capital management initiatives, primarily for the BAC entities and branches Internationally. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and skilled individual to join an established capital management team with an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment, requiring the ability to continuously learn and adapt, and develop proactive working relationships across all ranks and functions.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership in the evolving regulatory landscape, to drive a common understanding of where and why proposed regulations will impact capital requirements, this will require a good understanding of the relevant capital regulations for international jurisdictions where BAC has branches or subsidiaries, with specific focus on future regulations.
* Have a good understanding of prudential credit and counterparty risk and capital numerator concepts.
* Review new and changing requirements and be able to summarise the changes to senior management, risk teams and the business.
* Be involved in writing/reviewing business requirement documents.
* Carry out impact assessment on new or changing prudential capital requirements, new product review and non-standard transactions.
* Provide prudential regulatory technical advice through verbal and written responses, this will include interpretations, policy advice and trade advice to the business.
* Partner closely with the business lines, risk and CFO teams to support enterprise capital management objectives and/or legal entity strategy.
* Lead capital management activities and drive initiatives which optimise capital ratios and international regulatory strategy.
* Review compliance of new regulatory initiatives and support the integration into BAU capital management activities and disclosures.
* Help drive out the evolving nature of the team's remit, including the development and delivery of high-quality bespoke capital regulatory analysis.
What we are looking for:
* Require knowledge and practical application of European and UK prudential rules and upcoming regulatory changes and be able to understand international regulations.
* The ability to analyse complex prudential regulations and report and produce executive level summaries.
* Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise & manage multiple tasks and manage complex regulatory projects.
* The need to escalate in a timely manner and ensure adequate resolution of issues.
* Knowledge and understanding of practical application of market, credit, operational risk is preferred.
* Detail-oriented, proactive in every approach and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments and priorities.
* Adapting your behaviour to build relationships with a wide range of people at different levels.
* You will need to be highly persuasive to get the information at the right time and influence others to achieve the right outcome.
* Monitoring progress against objectives/deliverables and responding to unforeseen events.
