Pixomondo is an international creative studio that blends storytelling with cutting-edge technology across VFX, virtual production, and immersive experiences. With awardwinning work spanning film, television, and live experiences, our teams push the boundaries of what's possible on screen. We're currently working on an Innovation Project that explores next-generation workflows and tools for virtual production. As part of this initiative, we’re looking for a talented iOS Software Developer to help build dynamic, interactive features for iOS platforms – with a focus on integrating AR and real-time control interfaces.
Role Overview
As our iOS Software Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing robust, intuitive applications for iOS devices that interact with real-time engines, control systems, and AR experiences. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers, artists, and XR specialists to create tools that support real-world production workflows and push the boundaries of immersive tech.
Requirements
• Develop native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes into functional, elegant mobile interfaces.
• Integrate ARKit and other iOS frameworks for immersive and interactive features.
• Interface with real-time engines (Unreal Engine preferred) and virtual production control systems.
• Build prototypes quickly to test and validate concepts.
• Optimize app performance, ensure reliability, and handle edge cases for on-set use.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and iterative development processes.
• Document technical specs, development workflows, and build processes.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Proficient in Swift, SwiftUI, and iOS SDKs.
• Experience working with ARKit or similar AR/VR tools.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Bluetooth, or OSC (Open Sound Control) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and mobile UI/UX design.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred/Bonus Experience
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine, Blueprints, or real-time rendering workflows.
• Experience with virtual production tools and camera tracking systems.
• Past experience in media, film, VFX, or XR industries is a big plus.
