9 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Edinburgh (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 40% of their time)
Salary: A competitive salary from £33,040 - £41,300 depending on the experience you can bring
Closing date: Monday 31st March 2025
We're Aegon. We're a company of ambitious, positive problem-solvers who get things done. We're a team, not a group of individuals. Collaboration is our life force and we believe it's our duty to leave things better than we find them.
We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments.
Are you passionate about optimising People technology and driving impactful digital change? We're looking for a HR Systems Analyst with strong Workday expertise to help deliver our People technology roadmap.
Internally, this role is known as a Digital Experience Analyst - because its overall purpose is all about enhancing the digital experience of our colleagues when they interact with systems such as Workday.
In your day-to-day, you will identify and drive enhancements to Workday processes from inception through implementation, including change management activities. You don't need to have expertise in configuring Workday - our global technology team handles this aspect (and you will collaborate with them frequently).
A big part of this role is stakeholder engagement and digital change management - so it's really important that you enjoy fostering the culture of continuous improvement and promoting Workday best practice in your interactions with colleagues.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. System Maintenance: Support, analyse, troubleshoot and resolve Workday issues. Run scheduled system audits and oversee Workday access requests for the People Team.
2. Query Management and Reporting: Handle day-to-day queries raised by key end users (mainly the People Team); build and run Workday reports.
3. Workday Releases: Provide support for bi-annual Workday releases, including identifying and communicating impacts and opportunities.
4. Change Request Management: Analyse, document and prioritise workstack of change requests, which are then actioned and configured by our Global Technology team.
5. Design and Testing: Offer design and testing support for Workday improvements.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
1. Prior experience as an HR Systems Analyst, HRIS Analyst, or similar role where you have used Workday daily to process employee lifecycle transactions (for example, in an HR Services/HR Operations function).
2. An in-depth understanding of Workday HCM; knowledge of Workday UK Payroll, Workday Help and benefits functionality would be a plus but not required.
3. Experience building and running reports on Workday.
4. Strong understanding of HR processes, policies and compliance.
5. Strong problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
7. Strong continuous improvement mindset.
8. Interest in digital change management.
What's in it for you?
1. A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%.
2. A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance.
3. 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time).
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our employees live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
Drive innovation in HR technology - bring your Workday expertise and shape the future with us!
The legal bits:
We'll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If we offer you a job and you accept, there are some checks we need to complete before you can start with us. This will include a credit and criminal record check, as well as providing satisfactory references.
