Phlebotomist - Band 2 1 x 20 hours - Permanent
An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the phlebotomy team working across the hospital site.
Under the direction of the Sister/Unit Manager you will help us to ensure that we provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
You will need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills. A polite and courteous manner towards patients and relatives will be essential for this role, together with your ability to work under pressure, as part of a team as well as organising your own workload.
Previous hospital/phlebotomy experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to ensure you have the skills required to fulfil the position. You must be able to work flexible hours, up until 8pm in the evenings and some weekends.
Main duties of the job
As a Phlebotomist, the post holder will collect routine blood samples from patients as and when required and also deliver blood samples to collection points/or the laboratory at specified collection times. You will be required to work within all areas of the Trust following appropriate training, whilst maintaining a high standard of quality patient care and staff morale through personal example, good conduct and appearance.

* Relevant hands-on health care experience
