Brief Description
An opportunity to join our multi award winning business leading the global Insurance industry in improving the way that Insurance companies transact their daily work. The role is working internally and externally to ensure customer and product goals are achieved on-time, with the required quality and within budget. This role is multi-faceted, so that alongside project delivery; the successful candidate will foster, coach and mentor others with agile best practice both internally across departments and externally with clients.
Internally, you will work across the whole WCL product line, which in time will provide an extensive understanding of the portfolio and the clients it supports. Initially working with the placing and transformation workstreams as they develop new and innovative AI-based tools, the role will support your growth and effectiveness so that your engagement will bring value to internal and external projects within the portfolio. You will join an existing team of 9 people.
Externally you will support new customers throughout all project phases; from idea to initiation, implementation and embedding. For existing customers, you will be required to offer subject matter expertise and support our account management function for a subset of customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Varied portfolio of Internal and external project management.
* Scrum master for the team. Agile team coach and mentor.
* Liaise with product owners, management and stakeholders to ensure roadmaps are SMART and committed with the right level of planning and consideration for realisation.
* Communicates effectively with clients and all internal teams.
* Develops lasting business relationships with client personnel. Set and manage client expectations in line with business needs.
* Hold teams accountable for specified outputs & commitments. Support the removal of impediments both external and internal to the team.
* Work collaboratively with WCL’s sales team to regularly meet with clients.
* Work collaboratively with WCL’s product owners and development manager to define/refine product roadmaps on scope and scheduling, reassessing priorities and capacity regularly.
* Prepare/contribute and maintain a variety of project management tools including (but not limited to) all levels of internal and external planning, RAID logs and Defects logs.
* Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
* Support/participate in PMO excellence and effect project governance.
Experience / Requirements
* Experience in the delivery of projects in an agile environment.
* Experience with project management software and reporting including timesheet recording.
* Proven PM experience in similar roles managing the priorities and needs of multiple stakeholders and driving them to achieve business case deliverables; on time, of the right quality and on budget.
* Excellent communication skills
* Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to interact with and influence c-suite members.
* Strong MS office skills – specifically in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
