Our client, a prominent player in the Highways sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Planner to join their team on the HS2 project in Birmingham. This is a permanent role that focuses on planning and project controls (P6) within one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the UK.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDay-to-day planning function of a Sub Lot, including the maintenance of the working programme\nProduction of detailed Sub Lot programmes using Synchro\nMonitoring progress against the plan and reviewing with the Planning lead\nRecording and maintaining 'As Built' data\nEstablishing and maintaining positive and effective relationships within the delivery team and with sub-contractors\nCapturing and integrating current and forecast programme, budget, cost, and risk at asset and sub-asset level\nAssisting the Project Team to timely deliver projects and improve performance\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in cost management and planning within large, complex environments in the construction and engineering industry\nProficiency in Primavera (all versions), Microsoft Project, Word/Excel, TiLOS, and Synchro\nStrong report writing and presentation skills\nAttention to detail and aptitude for logic\nUnderstanding of project controls, planning, and performance reporting\nKnowledge of construction market methods, plant, equipment, and labour requirements\nA degree, HND or equivalent in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential\n\nBenefits:\n\nOpportunity to work on a prestigious and high-profile project\nProfessional development and training opportunities\nSupportive and collaborative work culture\nEmployee benefits package\nIf you have a passion for planning and project controls and want to be part of one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects, we would love to hear from you.
