Overview
The team manages the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, peripherals) from procurement to disposal, ensuring value, operational efficiency, and compliance. The team is financially accountable for all IT asset spend across News.
News has over 20,000 IT assets and licenses ranging from laptops, desktops, monitors, desk phones, mobile phones, tablets, and SIM cards. In addition to ensuring that all users have the correct kit and software to do their best work, these assets must be accounted for and set up to be charged to the correct cost codes.
Role Responsibility
* Accountable for auditing, managing, and tracking assets, including the setup of new hardware/software.
* Mandatory experience in managing 20k IT assets and licenses ranging from laptops, desktops, monitors, desk phones, mobile phones, tablets, and SIM cards.
* Responsible for communicating BBC IT strategy and policy within your business unit.
* Work with senior stakeholders in forecasting the IT technology needs of your business unit.
* Approver for IT spend in your business unit.
* Manage 'self-service' solutions including laptop loan lockers and IT vending unit.
